Ogata: "I want as many people as possible to understand the importance of food and the benefits of fermented foods, so that everyone can become healthier."

I was impressed by that belief.

Also, by coming into contact with fermented foods, I began to feel my body becoming more balanced.

Even for someone like me who had never cooked before, the fermentation class was easy to understand and I was able to get started easily.

I am very grateful to have met Ogatatei-san.

I hope to continue to expand my repertoire little by little.

Mami's fermentation class is not just about learning fermentation know-how.

Getting more involved with food itself

I think that's the class.

What does it mean to be delicious?

What does it mean to cook?

Something like that

I feel like I can learn.

Mami's dishes, which we sampled and served for lunch,

Each one permeates every corner of your being, making you feel like you're in balance.

Miso Fermentation Class:

Asami is a very professional and particular about food, so why not try making her own homemade miso using carefully selected ingredients?

Who would have thought that you could make such delicious, healthy miso so easily and conveniently anywhere in the world?

It's all good.

All the ingredients will be sent to you in a package, and all you have to do is join an online miso class.

Asami explains that miso, a traditional fermented food from ancient Japan, is also a versatile food.

Washoku has been registered as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, but it is an endangered species.

Now, more than ever, we Japanese in particular need to rediscover the wonderfulness of miso, which is the foundation of Japanese cuisine, and we want to continue making miso and eating it as much as possible.

There is also the joy of making and cultivating miso.

You can learn all that in Asami's miso class.

I've always been interested in making miso, but I never thought I'd learn it from Mami, who lives in America! And online!

I think it took about 2 hours including the lecture and practice, but it was so easy that I was surprised. I was able to do it while having a fun chat! It has become a part of my life now, but I think it's not just because it's easy, but also because I was able to empathize with Mami's passion for making miso from the beginning.

I have a special attachment to the miso I make myself, and I feel that it has a sweetness and mellowness that cannot be expressed by commercially available products. I am very satisfied with it, so I no longer have to search through various expensive miso.

It is a blessing to have been able to learn ways to enrich my life. Thank you very much.
